GSF Fundraising Challenge

GSF challenges students to raise money to support international development projects. 

But that's only part of the challenge.  Before raising money, you are encouraged to decide on the most effective way of channelling the monies raised - which involves deciding which organisations or projects to support, and for what purpose. 

Raising money to support development projects can make a real difference and save lives, as well as help tackle the root causes of poverty and injustice.   Furthermore, fundraising can lead to further learning about global issues, and about how to support communities in the most appropriate and effective way.  And it can also help develop essential skills for changing the world around you. However, if fundraising is to be truly educational in all these ways and avoid perpetuating negative stereotypes, great care is needed.
