The theme for GSF2010 is Education Beats Poverty.

Students:

  • Explored why 72 million of the world's children miss out on a primary education, and the difference that education would make to their life chances.
  • Joined with people across the world to call for universal primary education (the second Millennium Development Goal - MDG2) while examining what needs to happen in order to achieve this goal.
  • Considered ways in which UK school students can play their part in achieving MDG2.
  • Returned enthused and equipped to act as peer educators and to share their learning more widely through local and national media.
