Media Partnership Challenge
Each year, GSF schools rise to meet the GSF Media Partnership Challenge – to take their message out beyond the school gates into the wider community through appropriate use of local and national media.
Media Partnership Challenge 2010
Former child soldier Ben Okafor wrote for us a special song which explored some of the reasons why 72 million children across the world miss out on even a basic primary education.
Our challenge was write a new verse.
Here, you can watch Ben tell his story and sing his song.
Congratulations to Ruby Mulvaney and Chris Bakker of Hanham High School Sixth Form (South Gloucestershire) who penned the winning entry. Their work will appear here shortly.
Media Partnership Challenge 2009
The subject of GSF2009 was child mortality, and Jon Snow challenged the students to create a concept and a storyboard for a short film about the reasons why 9 million children across the world die from preventable causes before their 5th birthday. Out of all the entries, the students from Kesteven & Grantham Girls' School won, and they were supported by a team of film professionals to turn their concept into reality.
