The Global Student Forum is delighted to announce the election of Ester Simon, former president of the Namibian National Students Organization (NANSO) and an outstanding youth leader in multiple pan-African initiatives into the Board of the Global Campaign for Education.
“The Steering Committee unanimously supported the nomination of Ester Simon to run as the Global Student Forum’s candidate for the caucus election that took place in August 2021. We are confident that Ester is the right person to represent the voice of hundreds of million young people and students in the decision-making body of the Global Campaign for Education” said Carmen Romero, Steering Committee Member of the Global Student Forum.
With ESU’s president Martina Darmanin and Ester Simon on the Board of the GCE, young people have more agency then ever before when it comes to leading on the important advocacy and lobby work done by the GCE in the various sector of education.
