The Steering Committee wholeheartedly congratulates Zoe Ranganathan, current president of the National Union of Student in Australia, to her election into the Steering Committee for the rest of the 2021/2022 mandate.

The election caucus of GSF associate and consociate members has anonymously decided to appoint Zoe into the founding Steering Committee of the GSF where she will be leading the Equality portfolio alongside taking up responsibilities in the membership, and environmental justice clusters. Zoe’s appointment into the Steering Committee also represents a unique chance to build stronger engagement with the Asia and Pacific region which stands in the focus of the GSF’s membership enlargement.

“With Zoe Ranganathan, the GSF Executive gains an incredibly experienced and dedicated student representative, and we are thrilled to have her join the team where she will take up crucial work in multiple thematic cliusters of the organization” says Amilcar Sanatan, Steering Committee member of the GSF
