Amílcar Sanatan is a writer and activist with a focus on youth development, student governance and gender justice in the Caribbean and Americas region. Amilcar holds a BSc. Psychology and MPhil. Interdisciplinary Gender Studies from The University of the West Indies. He is currently a PhD. student in Cultural Studies at the same institution. He represents Trinidad and Tobago in the Commonwealth Students’ Association. For over a decade, Amilcar has organised students in secondary schools and universities at national and regional levels.
