Sudhakar Upadhyay is representing the voice of the Commonwealth Students Association in the GSF Steering Committee. He furthermore works as a research scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University. Previously, he completed his Master of Arts in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and his Bachelor in Technology from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. His master’s dissertation was on the state of inequality in access to primary education in rural areas. His doctoral research is focused on the socio-historical study of science education in India.
Additionally, he has served as a Research & Policy Fellow at MyNEP, actively contributing to the propagation and implementation of India’s newly notified National Education Policy. He also contributes to the government’s education policy. Sudhakar possesses a wealth of experience in leading student movements and organizations right from the school level up to the national level. As the founding National Convener of INDGenius, an organization representing students in premier new-wave universities of the country, he has been able to create a network and provide a platform of meaningful interactions and constructive activism to students hitherto lacking any such forum.
