The Global Student Forum has launched a new self-paced course on the GSF Learning platform: How to Run an Effective Meeting.

Global Student Forum Launches New Course: How to Run an Effective Meeting

The course is designed to support student leaders in strengthening one of the most important parts of democratic student organising, effective meetings.

From local student unions and campus organisations to international networks and advocacy groups, meetings play a central role in participation, decision-making, coordination, and accountability. The new course provides practical tools and guidance for planning, facilitating, and following up on productive and inclusive meetings.

Participants will explore:

  • how to create clear agendas and meeting objectives,
  • facilitation skills and inclusive participation,
  • decision-making processes and transparency,
  • follow-up practices and accountability,
  • practical tools such as meeting minutes and action trackers.

The course combines short text-based modules, reflection exercises, quizzes, and downloadable templates. It is designed to be accessible for both new and experienced student organisers and can be completed in approximately one hour.

💡
Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion through the GSF Learning platform.

The launch forms part of GSF’s broader efforts to strengthen the capacity of student organisations worldwide through accessible online learning and practical leadership development.

The course is available free of charge through the GSF Learning platform.
