Spearheaded by SOS-UK, creators of the UK’s RACE Report, and zedela, a data-driven advocacy group based in Germany, the PACE Index addresses a core truth: climate change does not impact everyone equally, and neither does climate action.
Marginalised communities are often excluded from shaping the solutions to a crisis that disproportionately affects them. The PACE Index exists to change that — by increasing transparency, empowering underrepresented voices, and supporting organisations to lead real, systemic change.
Through a collaborative pilot phase in Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, the PACE Index invites climate organisations and funders to take part in a movement that is:
- Led by lived experience
- Committed to structural change
- Free to participate, confidential, and impactful
The initiative collects anonymous survey data from leadership teams, highlights structural gaps in equity and representation, and supports participating organisations with tools and strategies to improve inclusivity in policy, recruitment, and workplace culture.
Global Student Forum encourages all members, partners, and student-led environmental groups to engage with this important project. You can:
- Join the movement as an organisation or individual
- Share your story anonymously
- Access resources and connect with others committed to climate justice
