This is a protection programme for human rights defenders. It provides threatened human rights defenders with a safe place to recuperate, cope with trauma, and when possible, to network and further develop their professional skills.
Urgent Action Fund For Women’s Human Rights Asia and Pacific
This grant is available to women and non-binary human rights defenders and organisations in Asia and the Pacific who have immediate or time-urgent needs related to their safety or well-being. It is intended for a person or organisation experiencing a threat or in case of emergency, crisis or risk due to their defence of women’s rights and human rights. It is also available for time-urgent needs for well-being such as psycho-social counselling, treatment for trauma, or medical assistance
Oak Institute for Human Rights
The Oak Institute for Human Rights champions the struggles for dignity, freedom, and justice of people throughout the world. Every fall, they invite a front-line human rights activist operating in difficult or dangerous circumstances to come to Colby for respite and reflection as the Oak Human Rights Fellow. Through public lectures, classes, and other events, we educate the campus and extended community about the work being done by our Fellow.

Urgent Action Fund For Women’s Human Rights Africa
Urgent Action Fund-Africa provides financial support for strategic interventions that take advantage of opportunities to advance women’s human rights. Such opportunities arise when an unexpected event – positive or negative – creates a situation in which rapid intervention can have a significant impact.
