The Global Student Forum (GSF) is a key partner in the Students at Risk (StAR) project, an Erasmus+ initiative dedicated to protecting and supporting students and scholars who face risks due to political persecution, conflict, or threats to academic freedom. As a global student-led organisation, GSF brings an international perspective and strong advocacy expertise to the project consortium

Within the StAR project, GSF contributes to advocacy, awareness-raising, and network-building efforts aimed at strengthening the protection of academic freedom worldwide. GSF plays an important role in amplifying the voices of students at risk, connecting national and regional student movements, and ensuring that student perspectives are meaningfully integrated into project activities and outcomes. Through collaboration with European and international partners, GSF supports the development of inclusive policies and sustainable solutions that enable at-risk students to access higher education and continue their academic journeys in safe environments

By participating in StAR, the Global Student Forum reinforces its commitment to human rights, inclusion, and global solidarity among students, helping to build a coordinated international response to challenges faced by students and scholars at risk.
