The Global Student Forum was represented by Jacob Blasius, Executive Director of GSF, who participated in the meeting as Technical Advisor to one of the civil society constituencies. The discussions brought together governments, civil society organisations, international institutions, and other partners committed to advancing access to quality education globally.
As the world's largest multistakeholder partnership dedicated to transforming education, GPE plays a significant role in mobilising resources and shaping international education priorities. Yet, despite students being at the heart of education systems, student representatives do not currently hold a dedicated seat on the Board.
This is a challenge that the Global Student Forum continues to raise. Students are not merely beneficiaries of education policies and investments, they are key stakeholders whose perspectives and experiences should help shape decisions at every level. GSF remains committed to strengthening meaningful student representation within global education governance and to ensuring that partnerships such as GPE fully live up to their promise of inclusive participation.
Until dedicated student representation becomes a reality, GSF will continue to support and contribute to the work of the civil society constituencies, helping to bring student perspectives into discussions on education financing, policy, and implementation.
GSF extends its gratitude to the many civil society organisations that make this engagement possible, including Plan International, Save the Children, Oxfam, and numerous other partners who continue to advocate for stronger, more inclusive education systems worldwide.
As conversations on the future of education financing continue, GSF will remain engaged in efforts to ensure that students have a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape the future of education.
