Young people and students aged 11 to 30 from around the world are invited to share their perspectives on what education and learning should look like in the decades ahead. Through a global survey and consultation process, participants will have the opportunity to contribute ideas on the future they want to see, the changes needed in education systems, and the actions young people are prepared to take to help achieve them.
The consultation will contribute directly to the development of a UNESCO Post-2030 Youth Education and Learning Agenda, a youth-led vision that will be presented at the 2027 Global Education Meeting and help inform future global discussions on education policy.
The process seeks to ensure that the voices of students and young people are not only heard, but meaningfully reflected in conversations about the future of education. In addition to individual participation, youth organisations, student unions, educators, and organisations working with young people are encouraged to organise local discussions and submit collective responses.
The Global Student Forum welcomes this initiative and encourages student organisations across our membership to participate and help mobilise students in their communities. As education systems around the world face growing challenges, student perspectives must be central to shaping what comes next.
How to Participate
Young people aged 11–30 can complete the global survey individually or together with friends and peers.
Student organisations, youth groups, and educators are also encouraged to organise discussions and submit group responses.
Deadline for participation: 20 September 2026
Selected findings from the consultations will be analysed by young people from the SDG 4 Youth & Student Network and used to draft the Post-2030 Youth Education and Learning Agenda.
